I started taking classes from Matt about a year and half ago and he has really helped me make progress toward my fitness goals. I’ve lost weight and am in the best shape I’ve been in for over 20 years. Matt is always patient and encouraging and he does a great job of explaining each movement in an easy to understand way. I also had my eleven year old son start personal training sessions with Matt this spring. He has really enjoyed the variety of movements Matt has incorporated into each session as well as how encouraging Matt is during each session. My son has become more physically fit and his confidence has grown as well. He has gone from finishing around 5th in his club track events last season to winning multiple gold medals in the 800 and 1500 meter races this track season. We have really enjoyed our time working with Matt and look forward to continuing our fitness journey with his help.

Working with Matt was my first experience working with a personal trainer. I explained to Matt my goals and he designed clear achievable nutrition and lean muscle gain goals for me. He kept me challenged, but I never felt overwhelmed. He kept me progressing that I saw definite core strength gains with better balance and weight strength improvement as well. I have been training with Matt Bennett for three months, and have seen amazing results in a short time. Having Matt as a trainer is an exceptional experience. While working with Matt one-on-one, each of my workouts has been tailor made to my personal needs and goals, including the nutrition plans and tips he has given me. Matthew Bennett has been my personal trainer for quite some time and the support and help I receive from him is just amazing. I go to Ignit for self-health/fitness, as well as improvement in speed and agility for soccer. Matthew has helped me so much in all these areas and more, such as nutritional aid and training me in boxing, a hobby I still love to this day. He's very understanding and flexible with his clients, altering his workouts to fit around their body and abilities as best as possible for the most effective workout. I have always been an individual that liked to workout, but would never dare do anything at the gym besides running on the treadmill. Honestly, free weights and other cardio machines I found intimidating and confusing. However, from the first time meeting with Matt, I knew he was the person that could help me achieve new goals and also the one that would help me get the results I wanted. I have been challenged and pushed along with Matt spending a great deal of time teaching correct form and what machines and weights I need to change the areas I wanted to see most results. He is very attentive to what each client needs and always encourages and changes workouts that motivates you to keep doing better. I am a working mother of three who also has a passion for health and fitness. I was stuck in a rut with my current fitness routine so I decided to get out of my comfort zone and join another gym in the area. Matt was one of the first people I met at Body Ignit, he helped make my transition a smooth one. I felt that I was in decent shape when I joined Body Ignit 6 months ago, little did I know how much my body would be transformed in such short amount of time.
Matt has been a huge part of this transformation. I attend his classes at least four days a week and there has never been one that I walked away thinking "that was easy". He is very encouraging and motivational during the entire workout. He makes sure that the movements I am performing are done correctly, so I don't get hurt in the process. Every class is different! He does an amazing job at making sure the workouts are challenging yet effective in working various muscle groups throughout the body.
He has also given me excellent advice when it comes to the nutrition. He helped me find a protein shake that I actually love and has given me different ideas about how tweaking a few things with my nutrition can change the way I workout and help define my body.
